The University Street Fair is alway a reminder to me that the Summer months are just a few weeks away. This fair is just one of many that take place throughout the Summer months in Seattle. Most major neighborhoods offer a street fair. These street fairs are alway loaded with local Artisians that are showing off and selling their wares. Good music is abound with many local street musicians throwing down their tip hat and playing anything from a guitar to a harmonica. There are usually a large variety of food vendors to choose from. I am partial to the Fremont Street Fair because it coinsides with the Fremont Solstice Parade. You are sure to be able to find one of the members of the Seattle Bed and Breakfast Assn. located near one of these Street Fairs. The Chelsey Station and 9 Cranes Inn as well as the Inn at Twin Gables are near the Freemont Street Fair. You can find Eagles View, The Guest House, Olympic View and Three Tree Point near the Burien Strawberry Festival. On Capitol Hill the 11th Ave. Inn, Seattle Hill House, Bacon Mansion, Shafer Baille Mansion Mildred’s Place and Sleeping Bulldog are all located near the Broadway Street Pride Festival. So if you enjoy viewing lots of wonderful Artists crafts and like to eat great food a street fair is a great way to live like the locals do in the Summer!
