One of the great things about visiting Seattle is the availability to great culture. We are one of the largest live theatre towns outside of New York City. From local productions to Broadway shows Seattle has it all. Our Seattle Opera is certainly one of the best in the nation. This summer Madam Butterfly will be staged. Its run starts Aug 5th and goes to Aug 19th This classical Opera isn’t without its controversy, but I think the General Director Aidan Lang does a good job of making some changes to Puccini’s work. One nice thing to mention about going to the Opera in Seattle. You don’t necessarily need to dress up to attend. A nice casual shirt or dress and you will be sure to fit in..
