March — in like a lion out like a lamb! (at least that is what they promise us!) — and Seattle is enjoying this weather to the fullest! A time of early spring flowers and buds on trees, a few hours of rain, balanced with the beauty of sun and brisk skies, make it a great time to put on a jacket and walk around the city!
Head on down to The Seattle Center — 50 years old this year!!! — as we celebrate its 50th anniversary, debuting with the World’s Fair in 1962. Come see the legacy of the fair — what it left behind for our city and plans for the next 50 years — with special events through October.
With 74 acres of fun, the Seattle Center is home to more than 30 cultural, educational, sports and entertainment organizations with more than 5,000 events annually.
Don’t forget to enjoy a little St. Patrick’s Day fun this month and celebrate the arts and culture of the Irish at the Irish Festival March 17th and 18th hosted at the Exhibition Hall — Free!
